It is our firm belief that every possible influence must be exercised on the Turkish side to persuade them to cooperate sincerely in the effective investigation of the fate of the missing persons in Cyprus.

III. Committee on missing persons in Cyprus

The statement by the Greek representative concerning missing persons in Cyprus had been misleading, as she had referred to Greek Cypriots who had gone missing in 1974, not Turkish Cypriots who had gone missing between 1963 and 1974.
وما ذكرته ممثلة اليونان بشأن الأشخاص المفقودين في قبرص كان مضللا، لأنها أشارت إلى القبارصة اليونانيين الذين فُقدوا سنة 1974 ولم تشر إلى القبارصة الأتراك الذين فُقدوا بين سنتي 1963 و 1974.

The Government of the Republic of Cyprus condemns such inhumane acts of disrespect against the relatives and families of missing persons and emphasizes that the continuation of this purely humanitarian problem constitutes an affront to the international community in disregard of the numerous United Nations General Assembly resolutions on the missing persons of Cyprus.
إن حكومة جمهورية قبرص تدين هذه التصرفات الاستخفافية غير اﻹنسانية ضد أقارب اﻷشخاص المفقودين وأسرهم وتؤكد أن استمرار هذه المشكلة اﻹنسانية المحض يشكل إهانة للمجتمع الدولي تضرب عرض الحائط بالقرارات العديدة التي اتخذتها الجمعية العامة لﻷمم المتحدة بشأن اﻷشخاص المفقودين في قبرص.
