In this regard, Namibia urges all Member States to pay their contributions in full and on time and to clear their arrears in order to enable the Secretary-General to fully carry out the resolutions of the General Assembly and, indeed, also those of the Security Council.
وفي هذا الصدد، تحث ناميبيا جميع الدول اﻷعضاء على سداد اشتراكاتها بالكامل وفي الوقت المحدد، وأن تدفع المبلغ المتأخر عليها بغية تمكين اﻷمين العام من تنفيذ قرارات الجمعية العامة بالكامل، بل وقرارات مجلس اﻷمن أيضا.

7. Decides also that, in order to enable the Secretary-General to explore the possibility of reducing the contributions of members to the budget for 2000, the Secretary-General is authorized to use savings from the budget for 1998 against the approved budget for 2000;
٧ - تقرر أيضا، بغية تمكين اﻷمين العام من استكشاف إمكانية خفض اشتراكات اﻷعضاء في ميزانية عام ٢٠٠٠، اﻹذن له باستخدام الوفورات من ميزانية عام ١٩٩٨، لمقابلة نفقات الميزانية الموافق عليها لعام ٢٠٠٠؛

(q) Paragraph 1.15: Replace the paragraph with the following: " A second objective is to follow and assess current and future trends in the field of disarmament and international security in order to enable the Secretary-General to render appropriate assistance to Member States in their search for agreement.
