86. Cuba called for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from all the occupied Palestinian territories, including the Syrian Golan, and supported the right of Puerto Rico to self-determination.
86 - وأضافت أن كوبا تطالب بالانسحاب الفوري للقوات الإسرائيلية من جميع الأراضي الفلسطينية المحتلة بما فيها الجولان، وتؤيد حق بورتوريكو في تقرير المصير.

Although the United Nations, through this Committee, partly rectified that error by reopening discussion of the case of Puerto Rico, the United States still boldly disregards the general decolonization policy of the United Nations and defiantly, sometimes deviously, persists in disregarding the mandate to respect the right of the people of Puerto Rico to self-determination and independence.

His delegation supported the right of the people of Puerto Rico to self-determination and independence and called for the establishment of a mechanism to guarantee all Puerto Ricans the right to determine their political status and to put an end to the colonial relationship with the Federal Government of the occupying Power.

13 - وواصل القول إنه وُضعت خطط لأن توافينا حكومة الولايات المتحدة بتقرير عن الحالة بين الولايات المتحدة وبورتوريكو، ولكن الرئيس أوباما لم يقم بعد بالتزام صارم باحترام وتعزيز حق بورتوريكو في تقرير المصير.

In this context, particular significance must be attached to the Puerto Rican political prisoners' claim that for there to be a true decolonization process in Puerto Rico, it is necessary to release these fighters, who are only seeking to achieve by arms what the members of this Committee on decolonization have already affirmed in black and white on 16 occasions, namely, to guarantee the right of Puerto Rico to self-determination.
وفي هذا السياق، يجب ايلاء أهمية خاصة لدعاوى السجناء السياسيين البورتوريكيين بأنه لكي تكون هناك عملية حقيقية ﻹنهاء الاستعمار في بورتوريكو، فمن الضروري إطلاق سراح المناضلين، الذيــن لا يسعــون إلا إلــى أن يحققوا، بقوة السلاح، ما أكده أعضاء هذه اللجنة ﻹنهاء الاستعمار بالحبر والورق في ١٦ مناسبة، أي، كفالة حق شعب بورتوريكو في تقرير المصير.

The Non-Aligned Movement reaffirmed the right of the people of Puerto Rico to self-determination and independence on the basis of General Assembly resolution 1514 (XV), while calling for the release of the remaining Puerto Rican political prisoners; and urged the General Assembly actively to consider the question of Puerto Rico.

16. Finally, Cuba urged the United States to respect the right of Puerto Ricans to self-determination, arguing that the people of Puerto Rico have the right to establish their independence.
