92. In his introduction, the representative of Myanmar informed the Committee that the existing laws and social practices of the country were compatible with the Convention.

80. In order to effectively implement the rights of the Convention for indigenous children, States parties need to adopt appropriate legislation in accordance with the Convention.
80- ومن أجل تمكين أطفال الشعوب الأصلية من ممارسة حقوق الاتفاقية ممارسة فعلية، يَلزم الدولَ الأطراف اعتماد تشريعات مناسبة تتماشى مع الاتفاقية.

The Childhood Committee asked Parliament to institute a High Council for Children in Parliament to ensure that children's rights are taken into consideration when legislation is discussed, and to review existing legislation pertaining to children to ensure that it is in accordance with the Convention.
وطلبت لجنة الطفولة إلى البرلمان إنشاء مجلس أعلى للطفولة في البرلمان لضمان أخذ حقوق الطفل في الاعتبار عند مناقشة التشريعات، واستعراض التشريعات القائمة المتعلقة بالطفل للتأكد من أنها تتماشى مع الاتفاقية.

125. The Committee reiterates its recommendation that the State party take the necessary steps to bring discriminatory laws, inter alia, the Code of the Person and the Family and the Penal Code, into line with the Convention.

372. The Committee requests the State party to repeal discriminatory legal provisions that still exist in the Civil Code and to bring legislation and administrative practice into line with the Convention.

The Council also noted that it would be necessary for the draft regulations to include appropriate provisions consistent with the Convention and the Agreement for the resolution of overlapping claims.
