It is the expectation of the Chair that a simplified agenda will lead, in 2010, to consolidating work of the group on other issues into discussions on the scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties in aggregate and individually.

11- وستُعقد يوم الجمعة 30 تموز/يوليه حلقة عمل سابقة للدورة بشأن المحاسبة المتعلقة بإدارة الغابات، كما ستُعقد في 2 آب/أغسطس حلقة عمل أثناء الدورة بشأن حجم تخفيضات الانبعاثات الذي يتعين أن تحققه الأطراف المدرجة في المرفق الأول إجمالاً وإسهام هذه الأطراف، بصورة فردية ومشتركة، في بلوغ هذا الحجم.

(a) The scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties in aggregate as well as the contribution of Annex I Parties to this scale;

In this regard, the Chair would like to propose that the work on numbers at AWG-KP 14 be structured along the lines of the approach taken at AWG-KP 12 and 13, with a focus on the specific matters relating to the aggregate and individual scales of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties.

At its eleventh session, the AWG-KP agreed to focus its work on the scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties in aggregate as well as on the contribution of Annex I Parties, individually or jointly, consistent with Article 4 of the Kyoto Protocol, to this scale.
2- واتفق فريق الالتزامات الإضافية في دورته الحادية عشرة() على أن يركز في عمله على جدول خفض الانبعاثات الذي يجب أن تحققه الأطراف المدرجة في المرفق الأول ككل وعلى إسهام هذه الأطراف، منفردة ومجتمعة، في هذا الجدول، بما يتفق مع المادة 4 من بروتوكول كيوتو.

The scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties (so-called numbers) will continue to be at the core of the work of the AWG-KP.
14- وسيظل جدول خفض الانبعاثات الذي يجب أن تحققه الأطراف المدرجة في المرفق الأول (ما يسمى بالأرقام) في صلب عمل فريق الالتزامات الإضافية.

(a) The scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties in aggregate as well as on the contribution of Annex I Parties to this scale;
(أ) حجم تخفيضات الانبعاثات الذي يتعين أن تحققه الأطراف المدرجة في المرفق الأول إجمالاً وإسهام هذه الأطراف في تحقيق هذا الحجم؛

Consideration of the contribution of Annex I Parties, individually or jointly, consistent with Article 4 of the Kyoto Protocol, to the scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Annex I Parties in aggregate;
(ب) النظر في إسهام الأطراف المدرجـة في المرفـق الأول، بشكل فردي أو جماعي، في جدول خفض الانبعاثات الذي يجب أن تحققه الأطراف المدرجة في المرفق الأول إجمالاً، بما يتفق مع المادة 4 من بروتوكول كيوتو؛

(d) Assessing the implications of the carry-over of assigned amount units to the second commitment period on the scale of emission reductions to be achieved by Parties included in Annex I in aggregate for the second commitment period and identifying appropriate actions to address these implications.
