وإذ تشير في هذا الصدد إلى قرار الاتحاد الأوروبي تقديم دعم كبير للجماعة الاقتصادية في الجهود التي تبذلها لمكافحة انتشار الأسلحة الصغيرة والأسلحة الخفيفة بصورة غير مشروعة،

Recalling, in this regard, the Court's conclusion that, inter alia, " Israel is under an obligation to make reparation for all damage caused by the construction of the wall in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including in and around East Jerusalem " ,
وإذ تشير في هذا الصدد إلى أن المحكمة خلصت، في جملة أمور، إلى أن ”إسرائيل ملزمة بجبر جميع الأضرار الناتجة عن تشييد الجدار في الأرض الفلسطينية المحتلة، بما فيها القدس الشرقية وما حولها“،

Expressing the hope that the Israeli occupation will be brought to an early and complete end and that therefore the violation of the human rights of the Palestinian people will cease, and recalling in this regard its resolution 58/292 of 6 May 2004,

وإذ تقـــر بالمساهـــمة التي لا تقدر بثمن في تعزيز الأمن والسلم الدوليين التي يقدمها الرجال والنساء الذين عملوا وما زالوا يعملون في عمليات الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام، وإذ تشير في هذا الصدد إلى منح قوات الأمم المتحدة لحفظ السلام في عام 1988 جائزة نوبل للسلام،

" Expressing concern that the absence of representative government in Nigeria has led to violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and recalling in this regard the popular support for democratic government as evidenced in the 1993 elections,
" وإذ تعرب عن قلقها ﻷن عدم وجود حكومة ممثلة في نيجيريا قد أدى إلى وقوع انتهاكات لحقوق اﻹنسان والحريات اﻷساسية، وإذ تشير في هذا الصدد إلى الدعم الشعبي لقيام حكم ديمقراطي، كما ظهر في انتخابات عام ١٩٩٣،

Expressing concern that the absence of representative government in Nigeria has led to violations of human rights and fundamental freedoms, and recalling in this regard the popular support for democratic rule as evidenced in the 1993 elections,
وإذ تعرب عن قلقها من أن عدم وجود حكومة نيابية في نيجيريا قد أدى إلى وقوع انتهاكات لحقوق اﻹنسان والحريات الأساسية، وإذ تشير في هذا الصدد إلى الدعم الشعبي لقيام حكم ديمقراطي كما ظهر في انتخابات عام ١٩٩٣،

2. Recalls, in this regard, the importance of ensuring the universality, objectivity and non-selectivity of the consideration of human rights issues;
2 - تشير في هذا الصدد إلى أهمية ضمان البعد العالمي والموضوعي وغير الانتقائي للنظر في مسائل حقوق الإنسان؛

8. recalls in this regard the positive experience of the presence of the Office of the High Commissioner in southern Africa, which will serve as guidance in the development of the regional approach of the Office of the High Commissioner;
8 - تشير في هذا الصدد إلى التجربة الإيجابية لوجود المفوضية في الجنوب الأفريقي الذي سيكون بمثابة نبراس لتنمية النهج الإقليمي للمفوضية؛

3. notes in this connection that this situation is totally at variance with the precepts of Islam, which imposes on Muslims the duty to acquire an education and to pursue knowledge;
3- تشير في هذا الصدد إلى أن هذه الحالة تتنافى تماماً مع مبادئ الإسلام الذي يفرض على المسلمين والمسلمات واجب طلب العلم والمعرفة؛

It wishes to point out in this regard that, unless a serious effort is undertaken to reform the judiciary and re-establish a proper functioning of the judicial system, efforts to strengthen the rule of law and to promote respect for human rights will be seriously undermined.
وتود أن تشير في هذا الصدد الى أنه ما لم تُبذل جهود جدية ﻹصلاح الجهاز القضائي وإعادته الى العمل بشكل سليم، فإن الجهود المبذولة لتدعيم حكم القانون وتعزيز احترام حقوق اﻹنسان ستتقوض بشكل خطير.
