Figures reported in the national communications indicate that removals of CO2 through land use change and forestry practices could be equivalent to approximately 10 per cent of CO2 emissions in Annex I Parties.

For the purpose of accounting, greenhouse gas emissions by sources and removals by sinks resulting from land use change occurring on forest land, cropland, grassland, wetland or settlement during the commitment period shall be reported under the land category to which the land has been converted.
4- ولغرض الحساب، يبلغ عن انبعاثات غازات الدفيئة من المصادر وعمليات الإزالة بوساطة البواليع الناتجة عن تغيير استخدام الأراضي الذي يحدث في الأراضي الحرجية أو الأراضي الزراعية أو المروج أو الأراضي الرطبة أو المستوطنات خلال فترة الالتزام في إطار فئة الأراضي التي حُوّلت إليها الأراضي.

Each CER issued on the basis of a project activity that relates to the removal of carbon due to land use, land use change, and forestry shall be designated a " temporary certified emission reduction " (TCER) and shall be valid for a period determined in accordance with paragraph (d).

The Ninth Conference of the Parties of UNFCCC Conference of the Parties, at its ninth session, welcomed the reports and recommended that " Good Practice Guidance for Land Use, Land use change and Forestry " be used by the Parties in preparing annual inventories under the Convention as well as in the design and implementation of afforestation and reforestation project activities under the clean development mechanism.
77 - رحب مؤتمر الأطراف لاتفاقية الأمم المتحدة الإطارية المتعلقة بتغير المناخ، خلال دورته التاسعة، بالتقارير وأوصى الأطراف باستخدام " توجيهات بشأن الممارسات الجيدة لاستخدام الأراضي، تغيير استخدام الأراضي والحراجة " التي استخدمتها الأطراف في إعداد القوائم السنوية بموجب الاتفاقية، وأيضاً في تصميم وتنفيذ أنشطة مشروع التشجير وإعادة التشجير في إطار آلية التنمية النظيفة.

14. In the period under review, Iraq's National Monitoring Directorate submitted 27 requests to IAEA for approval of the release or relocation of equipment and materials or of the change of use of monitored buildings.
١٤ - خلال الفترة قيد الاستعراض، قدمت المديرية الوطنية للرصد في العراق ٢٧ طلبا إلى الوكالة الدولية للطاقة الذرية للموافقة على اﻹفراج عن بعض المعدات والمواد أو على نقلها أو على تغيير استخدام مبان خاضعة للرصد.

36. In the period under review, the NMD submitted twenty-nine requests to the IAEA for approval of the release/relocation of equipment and materials or of the change of use of monitored buildings.
