Recalling its decision SS.VIII/2 of 31 March 2004 on small island developing States and the request contained therein for the Executive Director to report to the Governing Council at its twentythird session on the outcome of the International Meeting for the 10-year Review of the Barbados Programme of Action for the Sustainable Development of Small Island Developing States held in Port Louis, Mauritius from 10 to 14 January 2005,

The Governing Council also invited Governments and relevant intergovernmental and civil society organizations to participate actively in the process, and requested the Executive Director to submit a report to the Governing Council at its twenty-third session on the progress made in the preparation of the guidelines.
كما دعا مجلس الإدارة الحكومات والمنظمات الحكومية الدولية ومنظمات المجتمع المدني المعنية إلى المشاركة بنشاط في العملية، وطلب من المدير التنفيذي تقديم تقرير إلى مجلس الإدارة في دورته الثالثة والعشرين عما أحرز من تقدم في إعداد المبادئ التوجيهية.(12)
