It is particularly concerned that, in 2011, children represented approximately 15 per cent of the recruits of the pro-Government tribal militias. Those recruits included girls, who were used to gather intelligence, cook or carry detonators, as reported by the Secretary-General in his report on children and armed conflict (A/65/820-S/2011/250, para. 197).
