Not very long ago, dear king, we were people living in ignorance.
من فترة ليست بعيدة ، أيها الملك العزيز ، كنا أناس نعيش في جاهلية

The criticisms range widely: from the serious, which, in seeking to increase the Organization's efficiency and effectiveness, deserve to be taken into account; to the incredulous, which derive from obscurantist attempts to alter the public's perception of the United Nations.
وهذه الانتقادات تتراوح بشكل واسع بين انتقادات جديــــة تستأهل أن تؤخذ في الاعتبار سعيا لزيادة كفاءة المنظمة وفاعليتها؛ وبين انتقادات مشكوك في مصداقيتها ناشئة عن محاولات جاهلية ترمي إلى تشويـــه نظرة الجماهير إلى اﻷمم المتحدة.
