1. " Cluster munitions " means a munition, which contains submunitions with explosives.

2. " Cluster munition " means a conventional munition that is designed to disperse or release explosive submunitions each weighing less than 20 kilograms, and includes those explosive submunitions.

4. " Failed cluster munition " means a cluster munition that has been fired, dropped, launched, projected or otherwise delivered and which should have dispersed or released its explosive submunitions but failed to do so;
4 - يراد بتعبير ' ' الذخيرة العنقودية الفاشلة`` ذخيرة عنقودية أطلقت أو ألقيت أو قذفت أو رميت أو وجهت بطريقة أخرى وكان ينبغي أن تنثر أو تطلق ذخائر صغيرة متفجرة لكنها لم تفعل.

Such a report shall be prepared for each year during which a State Party retained, acquired or transferred cluster munitions or explosive submunitions and shall be submitted to the Secretary-General of the United Nations no later than 30 April of the following year.

ويحتوي الموزع (أ) ذخائر صغيرة تصبح خاملة بعد الارتطام أو (ب) أقل من عشر ذخائر صغيرة تحتوي متفجرات وتكون الذخائر البديلة مصممة لقذف ذخائر صغيرة على منطقة مستهدفة محددة مسبقاً.
