Starting in June 1994, the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) were deployed in the conflict zone on the basis of this agreement and the subsequent decision of the Council of the CIS Heads of State.

49. In the light of the situation outlined in the present report, I recommend to the Security Council that it extend the mandate of UNOMIG for a six-month period terminating on 15 November 1995, that extension being subject to revision in the light of the decision to be taken by the Council of Heads of State of CIS regarding the mandate of the CIS peace-keeping force.
٤٩ - وفي ضوء الحالة المجملة في التقرير الحالي أوصي مجلس اﻷمن بأن يمدد ولاية البعثة لفترة ستة أشهر تنتهي في ١٥ تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر ١٩٩٥، وأن يكون هذا التمديد خاضعا للتنقيح في ضوء القرار الذي يتخذه مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة بشأن ولاية قوة حفظ السلم.

As the Security Council is aware, the parties have agreed to revise and extend the mandate of the CIS peacekeeping force until 31 January 1997, but this decision has yet to be endorsed by the Council of Heads of State of CIS.
٣٥ - وكما يعلم مجلس اﻷمن، اتفق الطرفان على تنقيح ولاية قوة حفظ السلام التابعة لرابطة الدول المستقلة وتمديدها حتى ٣١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٧، ولكن هذا القرار لم يتم التصديق عليه بعد من جانب مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة.

He therefore recommended to the Security Council that it extend the mandate of UNOMIG for a six-month period terminating on 15 November 1995, pending a decision by the Council of Heads of State of CIS on the mandate of the CIS peace-keeping force.

7. At the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of CIS, held in Moscow on 28 March, it was decided that States members should endeavour to reach, as soon as possible, a comprehensive political settlement of the conflict in Abkhazia, Georgia, and an agreement on the return of refugees and displaced persons to their homes.
٧ - وفي اجتماع مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة المعقود في موسكو في ٢٨ آذار/مارس، تقرر أن تسعى الدول اﻷعضاء جاهدة الى التوصل في أقرب وقت ممكن الى تسوية سياسية شاملة للنزاع في أبخازيا، جورجيا، وعودة اللاجئين والمشردين الى ديارهم.

19. Following discussions at the 22 October 1997 meeting of the Council of Heads of State of CIS, the mandate of the CIS peacekeeping force was extended until 31 January 1998.
١٩- وعقب مناقشات جرت في الاجتماع الذي عقده مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة في ٢٢ تشرين اﻷول/أكتوبر ١٩٩٧، تم تمديد ولاية قوة حفظ السلام التابعة لرابطة الدول المستقلة لغاية ٣١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٨.

An inter-State programme for joint measures to combat organized and other forms of dangerous crime in the territory of member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) for the period up until 2003, which contained a special section on drugs, had been approved by the Council of Heads of State of the CIS in June 2000.

16. On 21 June 2000, the Council of the CIS Heads of State approved the Programme of the States Members of CIS to Suppress International Terrorism and Other Manifestations of Extremism to the Year 2003, and adopted a decision on the creation of an anti-terrorist centre of the States members of CIS and approved the statute of the Centre.
16 - وفي 21 حزيران/يونيه 2000، وافق مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة على برنامج الدول الأعضاء في رابطة الدول المستقلة لقمع الإرهاب الدولي وغيره من مظاهر التطرف إلى عام 2003، واتخذ قرارا بإنشاء مركز الدول الأعضاء في رابطة الدول المستقلة لمكافحة الإرهاب ووافق على النظام الأساسي لهذا المركز.

13. At their summit meeting, on 19 September, the CIS Heads of State adopted a statement reaffirming their commitment to not support secessionist regimes and to not engage in economic operations or in official contacts with the Abkhaz side without the consent of the Georgian authorities, as set out in documents adopted by the Council of CIS Heads of State in 1995 and 1996.
13 - وفي اجتماع القمة المعقود في 19 أيلول/سبتمبر، اعتمد رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة بيانا يؤكدون فيه مجددا التزامهم بعدم تقديم الدعم للأنظمة الانفصالية، وبعدم المشاركة في عمليات اقتصادية أو إجراء اتصالات رسمية مع الجانب الأبخازي دون موافقة السلطات الجورجية، على النحو الوارد في الوثائق التي اعتمدها مجلس رؤساء دول رابطة الدول المستقلة في عامي 1995 و 1996.

Currently, a draft convention for the suppression of trafficking in persons was being prepared for signature by the CIS Council of Heads of State.
