11. The Committee is concerned about high levels of domestic violence against women in the State party and about weak protection against such violence, including rape.
11- ويساور اللجنة القلق إزاء ارتفاع مستويات العنف المنزلي ضد المرأة في الدولة الطرف وإزاء ضعف الحماية من هذا العنف، بما في ذلك الاغتصاب.

(11) The Committee is concerned about high levels of domestic violence against women in the State party and about weak protection against such violence, including rape.

However, the Committee is concerned at the high prevalence of cases of violence against women in the State party and at the lack of adequate services and protection for victims of violence, the lack of reporting mechanisms available to victims and the absence of awareness campaigns to educate women about their rights.

18. The Committee notes with regret the high level of domestic violence against women in the State party and the low number of cases dealt with by the judicial system.

23. The Committee expresses its concern at the persistence of violence against women in the State party, in particular domestic and sexual violence, which remains, in many cases, underreported.

9. While welcoming the State party's various efforts to combat violence against women and girls at legislative and policy levels, such as initiatives and projects carried out under the Second Plan to Combat Violence against Women of 2007, the Committee is concerned about the persistent violence against women in the State party.
9- وترحب اللجنة بما تبذله الدولة الطرف من جهود لمكافحة العنف ضد النساء والفتيات على الصعيدين التشريعي والسياساتي، من قبيل المبادرات والمشاريع التي نفذتها الدولة الطرف بموجب خطة العمل الثانية لمكافحة العنف ضد المرأة لعام 2007، بيد أنها تشعر بالقلق إزاء العنف المستمر ضد المرأة في الدولة الطرف.

2. In the report, it is acknowledged that discrimination against women in the State party is inadequately understood and perceived owing to, among other things, the fact that it remains a challenge to obtain the statistical, qualitative and scientific information, in particular in the judicial sector, that would enable direct or indirect discrimination to be brought to light.
2 - وفي التقرير إقرار بأن التمييز ضد المرأة في الدولة الطرف مفهوم ومتصور على نحو غير مناسب بفعل جملة أمور، منها أنه ما زال يمثل تحدياً حائلاً دون الحصول على المعلومات الإحصائية والنوعية والعلمية، لا سيما في القطاع القضائي، وتلك هي المعلومات التي تتيح تسليط الضوء على التمييز المباشر أو غير المباشر.

The Committee expresses its concern, however, at the high prevalence of violence against women in the State party, in particular domestic and sexual violence, which is culturally accepted and in many cases remains underreported.
