1. The Technical Expert Group would be established under paragraph 5 of article 15 of the Basel Convention, which states as follows:

2. The functions of the Technical Expert Group shall be:

9. The Technical Expert Group shall make every effort to make its recommendations by consensus.
9 - يبذل فريق الخبراء التقني كلّ ما في وسعه لوضع توصياته بتوافق الآراء.

The work of the Technical Expert Group, the Subsidiary Body and the Conference of the Parties will provide an important contribution to this collaboration.
ويشكل عمل كل من فريق الخبراء التقني والهيئة الفرعية المعنية بالمشورة العلمية والتقنية والتكنولوجية ومؤتمر الأطراف مساهمة مهمة في هذا التعاون.
