The decrease reflects the reduction of the non-recurrent resources approved under unforeseen and extraordinary expenses relating to the initiatives of the Secretary-General with respect to the maintenance of peace and security, as reported in the first performance report (A/65/589, paras. 8 and 9) and included in the revised appropriation for 2010-2011.
