1. This Convention shall be subject to ratification, acceptance or approval by States and by regional economic integration organizations.
1 - تخضع هذه الاتفاقية للتصديق عليها أو قبولها أو الموافقة عليها من جانب الدول والمنظمات الإقليمية للتكامل الاقتصادي.

3. Each State Party may, at the time of signature or ratification, acceptance or approval of, or accession to, the present Convention, declare that it does not consider itself bound by paragraph 2 of this article.
3 - يجوز لكل دولة طرف، عند توقيع هذه الاتفاقية أو التصديق عليها أو قبولها أو الموافقة عليها أو الانضمام إليها أن تعلن أنها لا تعتبر نفسها ملزمة بالفقرة 2 من هذه المادة.

Lastly, she shared the Swedish view that the Statute should stand on its own; the Rules of Procedure and Evidence should not necessarily have to be ratified, accepted or approved at the same time as the Statute itself.

Two (2) of the Convention's 133 signatories have not yet ratified, accepted or approved the Convention: the Marshall Islands and Poland, notwithstanding that, in accordance with Article 18 of the 1969 Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties, these signatories are obliged to refrain from acts which would defeat the object and purpose of the Convention.

B. A contracting Party may formulate a reservation to the present treaty [or to articles X, Y and Z of the present treaty] when signing, ratifying, formally ratifying, accepting or approving the treaty or acceding thereto or at any time thereafter.
