The Government of Iraq agreed to the removal of remnants of proscribed missile engines from Iraq for in-depth technical analysis by the Commission. The analysis will be carried out with the assistance of a team of international experts, under the supervision of the Commission, at laboratories offered by contributing Governments.
وقد وافقت حكومة العراق على أن ينقل من العراق حطام محركات القذائف المحظورة لتقوم اللجنة بإجراء تحليل فني متعمق لها وسيجري التحليل بمساعدة من فريق خبراء دوليين وبإشراف من اللجنة في مختبرات اتاحتها الحكومات المساهمة.

The Commission believes that this technical analysis will provide valuable data for verification of methods and procedures for the secret destruction, shed light on Iraq's efforts to produce missile engines and their components, and thus help to resolve the issues related to the counting of missiles.
وترى اللجنة أن هذا التحليل التقني سيتيح بيانات قيمة للتحقق من الطرق واﻹجراءات المتبعة في التدمير السري، وسيلقي اﻷضواء على جهود العراق من أجل انتاج محركات القذائف ومكوناتها، كما سيساعد بالتالي على تسوية المسائل المتصلة بتحديد عدد القذائف.

35. In the area of Iraq's indigenous missile production, a firm and verifiable balance of major components and equipment for manufacturing proscribed liquid-propellant missile engines is of particular importance.
٣٥ - وفي مجال إنتاج العراق للقذائف محليا، فإن وجود رصيد ثابت وقابل التحقق منه للمكونات والمعدات الرئيسية لصنع محركات القذائف المحظورة التي تستخدم الوقود الدفعي السائل هو ذو أهمية خاصة.

36. Until August 1995, Iraq concealed the fact that its Project 1728, specifically established for the production of proscribed missile engines, had produced engines and carried out some 20 static and flight tests with these engines.
