On instructions from my Government, I have the honour to transmit to you herewith a list showing the 1,877 miscellaneous bombs, projectiles and missiles found and disposed of in the various parts of Iraq over the period from 1 to 31 July 1993.

However, direct access to locations within Iraq has not been possible owing to the Government of Iraq's continual refusal to cooperate with the United Nations in receiving a return visit of the Special Rapporteur to Iraq and, more importantly, the stationing of human rights monitors throughout Iraq pursuant to resolutions of the General Assembly and the Commission on Human Rights.
إلا أنه لم يتمكن، مرة أخرى، من الوصول المباشر إلى المواقع داخل العراق نظرا لرفض حكومة العراق حتى اﻵن التعاون مع اﻷمم المتحدة في استقبال المقرر الخاص للعراق في زيارة ثانية، اﻷهم من ذلك، أو قبول تمركز مراقبين للجنة حقوق اﻹنسان في مختلف أنحاء العراق عملا بقرارات الجمعية العامة ولجنة حقوق اﻹنسان.

UNSCOM has been working throughout Iraq for nearly six years. It has sent 373 inspection teams, comprising a total of 3,754 international inspectors, in addition to its established staff located in Baghdad, which is made up of more than 90 officials.

The total was 135 (one hundred and thirty-five) bombs and missiles of various types.

However, direct access to locations within Iraq has again not been possible owing to the Government's refusal so far to cooperate with the United Nations in receiving a return visit of the Special Rapporteur to Iraq or to accept the stationing of human rights monitors throughout Iraq pursuant to resolutions of the General Assembly and the Commission on Human Rights.
إلا أنه لم يمكن مرة أخرى الوصول المباشر إلى المواقع داخل العراق نظرا لرفض الحكومة حتى اﻵن التعاون مع اﻷمم المتحدة في استقبال المقرر الخاص للعراق في زيارة ثانية أو قبول تمركز مراقبين لحقوق اﻹنسان في مختلف أنحاء العراق عملا بقرارات الجمعية العامة ولجنة حقوق اﻹنسان.

34. The target groups of these courses, which were organized throughout Iraq, included government officials from the various ministries as well as teachers, schoolchildren, human rights activists and members of non-governmental organizations.
34- وكانت الفئات المستهدفة من هذه البرامج تضم موظفين حكوميين من مختلف الوزارات ومعلمين ومدرسين، طلاب مدارس، ناشطي حقوق الإنسان وأعضاء في منظمات غير حكومية، كما توزعت تلك النشاطات في مختلف أنحاء العراق.

160. The Advisory Committee was informed that UNAMI currently receives life support, security, communications, medical services and transportation from the Government of the United States of America and that, in 2010, in view of the planned drawdown of the international forces in Iraq, UNAMI will continue to seek to become more operationally self-reliant to ensure that it is able conduct mandated activities throughout Iraq.
160 - وأبلغت اللجنة الاستشارية بأن البعثة تتلقى حاليا خدمات دعم المعيشة والأمن والاتصالات والخدمات الطبية وخدمات النقل من حكومة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وأن البعثة ستواصل، في عام 2010، في ضوء الانسحاب المزمع للقوات الدولية من العراق، السعي نحو زيادة الاعتماد على الذات في عملياتها لكفالة قدرتها على القيام بالأنشطة التي كلفت بها في مختلف أنحاء العراق.
