50. In its second report (2004), Lebanon reviewed the general legal framework and constitutional guarantees of equality between man and woman, affirming that the Lebanese Constitution contains no provision that discriminates against women but, indeed, enshrines the equality of all citizens before the law, without discrimination.
50- عرضَ لبنان، في تقريره الثاني عام 2004، الإطار القانوني العام والضمانات التي يشتمل عليها الدستور لمساواة المرأة بالرجل، مؤكّداً أن الدستور اللبناني لا يتضّمن أي نصّ تمييزي بحق المرأة، بل يكرّس مساواة جميع المواطنين أمام القانون دون تمييز.

53. Lebanon ratified the Convention on the Elimination of all Forms of Discrimination against Women on the basis of Law 572 (24 July 1996), without reservation to article 2 of the Convention. The Lebanese Constitution thus contains no provision discriminating against women and, indeed, enshrines the equality of all citizens before the law, without discrimination.
53- أبرم لبنان اتفاقية القضاء على جميع أشكال التمييز ضّد المرأة بموجب القانون رقم 572 الصادر بتاريخ 24/7/1996، وهو غير مُتحفّظ على المادة الثانية من الاتفاقية، ذلك أن الدستور اللبناني لا يتضّمن أي نص تمييزي بحق المرأة، بل يكرّس مساواة جميع المواطنين أمام القانون دون تمييز.

The Constitution states in its Article 13 the equality of all citizens in dignity and before the law, and forbids all forms of discrimination (deprivation of any right or exemption from any duty) with regard to sex.
فالدستور يبين في مادته 13 مساواة جميع المواطنين أمام القانون بكرامة، ويحظر جميع أنواع التمييز (الحرمان من أي حق أو الإعفاء من أي واجب) فيما يتعلق بالجنس.

The Constitution also specifies that all citizens are equal before the law and that the rights of foreign citizens are governed by treaties and, if no such treaties apply, by the principle of reciprocity.
