From the report contained in document A/50/520, it is clear that in an earlier report — document A/48/335, annex, and addenda — the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations recommended the establishment of a diversification facility to finance the preparatory phase of diversification projects and programmes in Africa.
ويتضح من التقرير الوارد في الوثيقة A/50/520 أنه فـــــي تقرير سابق - الوثيقة A/48/335، المرفق و Add.1 و 2، أوصت منظمــــة اﻷمم المتحدة لﻷغذية والزراعة بإنشاء مرفق للتنويع لتمويل المرحلــــة التمهيدية من مشاريع وبرامج التنويع في أفريقيا.

In view of this, the international community has called for an expansion of resources to finance diversification projects and programmes (see General Assembly resolution 45/200, para. 7, and the Final Act of the seventh session of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development, para. 82 4/).
