1.2 On 20 June 2003, the Committee, through its Rapporteur on new complaints and Interim Measures, transmitted the complaint to the State party and requested it, under rule 108, paragraph 1, of its rules of procedure, not to return the complainants to Sri Lanka while their case was under consideration by the Committee.

Pursuant to rule 114, paragraph 1, at any time after the receipt of a complaint, the Committee, through its Rapporteur on new complaints and interim measures, may transmit to the State party concerned a request that it take such interim measures as the Committee considers necessary to avoid irreparable damage to the victim or victims of the alleged violations.
وعملاً بالفقرة 1 من المادة 114 من النظام الداخلي للجنة، يجوز للجنة عبر مقررها المعني بالشكاوى الجديدة والتدابير المؤقتة، أن توجه، في أي وقت بعد تلقي الشكوى، طلباً إلى الدولة الطرف المعنية لكي تتخذ ما تراه اللجنة ضرورياً من تدابير مؤقتة لتفادي أي ضرر لا يمكن جبره قد يلحق بضحية أو ضحايا الانتهاكات المزعومة.

1.2 On 15 September 2009 the Committee, at the request of the complainant and through its Rapporteur on new complaints and interim measures, requested the State party to refrain from invoking domestic legislation against the complainant and members of her family that might restrict their right to continue the procedure initiated in the Committee against Torture.

On 25 November 2009, the Committee, through its Rapporteur on new complaints and interim measures, transmitted the complaint to the State party, without requesting interim measures of protection under former rule 108, paragraph 1, of the Committee's rules of procedure.
وفي 25 تشرين الثاني/نوفمبر 2009، أحالت اللجنة، من خلال مقررها المعني بالشكاوى الجديدة والتدابير المؤقتة، الشكوى إلى الدولة الطرف بدون طلب توفير تدابير الحماية المؤقتة بموجب الفقرة 1 من المادة 108 السابقة من النظام الداخلي للجنة().
