The Committee reiterates its concern at the very vulnerable situation and the high levels of racial, social and gender discrimination suffered by indigenous and Afro-descendent women, despite the formal recognition of their rights and the multiplicity of institutions and programmes designed to promote those rights (arts. 3, 25 and 26).
