The need to rationalize the various instruments being used in the field, namely, the United Nations Development Assistance Framework, the country strategy notes and other sectoral programmes, was emphasized.

52. The members of the Administrative Committee on Coordination are of the view that the United Nations resident coordinator system and the country strategy notes provide the necessary system-wide coordination.

وتستطيع منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة من خلال آليات مثل نظام المنسق المقيم ومذكرات الاستراتيجية القطرية والنهج البرنامجي واﻷنشطة التشغيلية اﻷكثر تركيزا وتنسيقا، أن تساعد البلدان في بناء قدراتها الذاتية على تحسين سياساتها وبرامجها المتعلقة بتنمية الموارد البشرية.

6. UNFIP will seek to ensure that projects proposed to the Foundation for funding are in conformity with the Foundation’s strategic objectives and take into account the goals and objectives of the Agenda for Development and recent United Nations global conferences and such other matters such as national development plans and priorities, country strategy notes and the United Nations development assistance frameworks.

48. In the formulation of common country assessments, country strategy notes and UNDAF, greater consideration should be given to the follow-up to conferences and to how the United Nations system and the donor community in general could assist the country concerned in achieving goals agreed in the series of conferences.
٤٨ - وأضافت قائلة إنه ينبغي لدى صياغة التقييمات المشتركة للبلدان، ومذكرات الاستراتيجية القطرية وإطار اﻷمم المتحدة للمساعدة اﻹنمائية، إيلاء اهتمام أكبر لمتابعة المؤتمرات ولمدى مساعدة منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة والجهات المانحة عموما للبلد المعني حتى يستطيع بلوغ اﻷهداف المتفق عليها في مجموعة المؤتمرات.

These mechanisms should be harmonized with system-wide tools, such as the common country assessment, the country strategy note and UNDAF, in order to create a link between the implementation of global conferences and programming of operational activities of the United Nations system.
وينبغي مواءمة هذه اﻵليات مع اﻵليات القائمة على نطاق المنظومة، التي من نوع التقييمات القطرية المشتركة، ومذكرات الاستراتيجية القطرية وإطار اﻷمم المتحدة للمساعدة اﻹنمائية، من أجل إيجاد أداة ربط بين تنفيذ محصلات المؤتمرات العالمية وبرمجة اﻷنشطة التنفيذية التي تضطلع بها منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة.

The critical need for relevant indicators to monitor the implementation of conferences at the country level should also be emphasized, and should be integrated in the use of such tools as the common country assessment, the country strategy note and UNDAF, in coordination with the efforts that the United Nations system and other international organizations are making in this area.
وينبغي أيضا تأكيد الحاجة الماسة إلى المؤشرات المناسبة لرصد تنفيذ محصلات المؤتمرات على الصعيد القطري، ودمج هذه الحاجة في استخدام أدوات مثل التقييمات القطرية المشتركة ومذكرات الاستراتيجية القطرية، وإطار عمل اﻷمم المتحدة للمساعدة اﻹنمائية، بتنسيق مع الجهود التي تبذلها منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة وغيرها من المنظمات الدولية في هذا المجال.
