We should like to point out that the Academy of the Syriac Language was not abolished, but was incorporated into the Iraqi Academy of Science as one of its divisions. Furthermore, Revolution Command Council decree No. 251 of 1972 accorded cultural rights to the Assyrian and Chaldean Syriac-speaking minorities and the State has not practised any discrimination or strict government control, as alleged by the Special Rapporteur.
نود أن نوضح أن اﻷكاديمية السريانية لم يتم الغاؤها، بل تم دمجها مع المجمع العلمي العراقي كدائرة ضمن دوائره، وقد منح قرار مجلس قيادة الثورة رقم ٢٥١ لعام ٧٢١٩ الحقوق الثقافية لﻷقليات الناطقة باللغة السريانية من اﻷثوريين والكلدان ولم تمارس الدولة أي تمييز أو هيمنة صارمة كما يزعم المقرر الخاص.

غير ممثّلة في لبنان ( الطائفة الإسماعيلية وكنيسي حلب ودمشق)، والثاني هو أن الطوائف الكاثوليكية، وعددها ست طوائف (هي الطائفة المارونية، طائفة الروم الكاثوليك الملكية، الطائفة الأرمنية الكاثوليكية، الطائفة السريانية الكاثوليكية، الطائفة اللاتينية والطائفة الكلدانية) تعتمد قانون أحوال شخصية واحد يطبَّق عليها جميعاً في لبنان.
