Resolution 54/11 Improving the participatory role of civil society in addressing the world drug problem
القرار 54/11 تحسين الدور التشاركي للمجتمع المدني في معالجة مشكلة المخدّرات العالمية

Recalling the United Nations Millennium Declaration, the provisions of the 2005 World Summit Outcome addressing the world drug problem, its resolution 61/183 of 20 December 2006 and its other previous relevant resolutions,
إذ تشير إلى إعلان الأمم المتحدة للألفية() والأحكام الواردة في نتائج مؤتمر القمة العالمي لعام 2005() المتعلقة بمشكلة المخدرات العالمية وإلى قرارها 61/183 المؤرخ 20 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2006 وقراراتها السابقة الأخرى ذات الصلة،

More specifically, resolution 56/16 was adopted in the context of the renewed commitment of the leadership of ECOWAS and the African Union to play their part in addressing the world drug problem.
2- وعلى وجه الخصوص، اعتُمد القرار 56/16 في سياق تجديد التزام قيادة الجماعة الاقتصادية لدول غرب أفريقيا والاتحاد الأفريقي بأداء دورهما في التصدِّي لمشكلة المخدِّرات العالمية.

It is recommended that one generic theme be chosen, which could be along the following lines: " Assessing achievements and challenges in addressing the world drug problem at the national, regional and global levels: towards strengthening the operational implementation of the 2009 Political Declaration and Plan of Action " .
ويُوصَى باختيار موضوع عام واحد، يمكن أن يكون على غرار ما يلي: " تقييم الإنجازات والتحدِّيات في التصدِّي لمشكلة المخدِّرات العالمية على الصعيد الوطني والإقليمي والعالمي: صوب تعزيز التنفيذ العملي للإعلان السياسي وخطة العمل لعام 2009 " .

Recognizing that the responsibility for addressing the world drug problem rests with Member States, while civil society has an important participatory role in addressing the multidimensional aspects of this problem,
وإذ تسلّم بأنَّ مسؤولية معالجة مشكلة المخدّرات العالمية تقع على عاتق الدول الأعضاء، في حين يضطلع المجتمع المدني بدور تشاركي هام في التصدّي لجوانب هذه المشكلة المتعدّدة الأبعاد،
