49. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) said that the report reflected the catastrophic human rights situation in the Palestinian territories, and the Israeli occupation was the main reason for it.
49 - السيدة الحاج علي (الجمهورية العربية السورية): قالت إن التقرير يعبر عن الحالة الفاجعة لحقوق الإنسان في الأراضي الفلسطينية، وإن الاحتلال الإسرائيلي هو السبب الرئيسي في ذلك.

54. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic), explaining her delegation's position with regard to draft resolution A/C.3/57/L.51, said that the Declaration imposed the duty of non-intervention and non-selectivity with respect to States.

74. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) said that she agreed with the points made in paragraph 13 of the draft resolution but would abstain from the voting on account of the conflicting content of the text as a whole.
74 - السيدة الحاج علي (الجمهورية العربية السورية): قالت إنها توافق على النقاط الواردة في الفقرة 13 من مشروع القرار ولكنها ستمتنع عن التصويت بسبب التعارض الذي يشوب مضمون النص في مجموعه.

8. Mrs. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) said that in recent years consideration for human rights had regressed alarmingly. The phenomenon was attributable to so-called human-rights defenders.
8 - السيدة الحاج علي (الجمهورية العربية السورية): أشارت إلى ما لوحظ في السنوات الأخيرة في مجال احترام حقوق الإنسان من تقهقر إلى الوراء مثير للقلق، وذلك من جانب من يزعمون أنهم يدافعون عن هذه الحقوق.

78. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) said that her delegation condemned all terrorist activities, which were criminal acts against the security and sovereignty of States, but it had abstained from voting for three reasons.
78 - السيدة الحاج علي (الجمهورية العربية السورية): قالت إن وفدها يدين جميع أعمال وأساليب وممارسات الإرهاب بوصفها أعمالا إجرامية تنتهك سيادة الدول وسلامتها، ولكنه امتنع عن التصويت لثلاثة أسباب.

31. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) asked how he saw the contribution of the high-level review in 2000 of follow-up to the 1995 Copenhagen Declaration as motivation to the Working Group.

33. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) said that her country condemned terrorism in all its forms and manifestations because terrorist acts were criminal.

95. Ms. Al Haj Ali (Syrian Arab Republic) said that in the view of her delegation, country-specific resolutions on human rights issues showed interference in the internal affairs of States and selectivity.
