٢١ - ومنذ استئناف الصراع المدني في أنغولا، بذلت منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة جهودا كثيفة لتقديم المساعدة اﻹنسانية الى جميع اﻷنغوليين المحتاجين.

I would not wish to conclude my statement without apprising the Assembly in general terms of the situation prevailing in my country during the implementation of the Lusaka Protocol, aimed at restoring lasting peace and reconciliation for all Angolans.
ولا أود أن أختتـــم بيانــــي دون أن أعـرض على الجمعيــــة بعبارات عامة الحالة السائدة في بلــدي خلال تنفيذ بروتوكـــول لوساكا، الذي يهـــدف إلـــى استعادة السلــــم الدائم والمصالحة فيما بين جميع اﻷنغوليين.

The observer countries thank the Government of the Republic of Angola and the leadership of the Union for the Total Independence of Angola (UNITA), as well as their respective delegations, for their efforts throughout these negotiations and commend them for the commitment and determination with which they have met the deep aspirations of all Angolans for a just, durable and stable peace in Angola.
وتشكر البلدان المراقبة حكومة جمهورية أنغولا وقيادة الاتحاد الوطني للاستقلال التام ﻷنغولا )يونيتا(، فضلا عن وفد كل منهما، على ما بذلوه من جهود طوال هذه المفاوضات وتثني عليهم لما تحلوا به من التزام وتصميم لبوا بهما التطلعات العميقة لدى جميع اﻷنغوليين في تحقيق سلم عادل ودائم ومستقر في أنغولا.

In the same letter, it stated that the modalities for the implementation of the principle would be considered during the negotiations with the Angolan Government and that in the interest of a peace that would guarantee security for and coexistence among all Angolans in the same country, the above-mentioned principle should be applied within the framework of a bilateral cease-fire throughout the national territory.
وفي نفس الرسالة، أوضحت اليونيتا أن طرائق تطبيق هذا المبدأ ستدرس أثناء المفاوضات مع حكومة أنغولا، وأنه " من مصلحة السلم الذي يمكن أن يضمن اﻷمن والتعايش بين جميع اﻷنغوليين في نفس الوطن، أن يطبق المبدأ المذكور أعلاه في إطار وقف ثنائي ﻹطلاق النار في كل أراضي الوطن " .

وباشرت جمهورية الكونغو الديمقراطية بإصدار وثائق انتقالية تُفضي إلى إصدار تصاريح إقامة لجميع الأنغوليين الذين اختاروا البقاء في البلد بعد انتهاء وضعهم كلاجئين.
