15. During the administrative liquidation period, logistical, administrative and security services will be provided to achieve the withdrawal and administrative liquidation of the Mission by 31 December 2011.

Decides to reduce the appropriation approved for the maintenance and administrative liquidation of the Mission for the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011 under the terms of its resolution 65/254 A of 24 December 2010 from 239,096,600 dollars to 236,252,300 dollars, equal to expenditures incurred by the Mission during the same period;

47. The variance is attributable to reduced requirements which resulted from the earlier-than-anticipated return of vehicles to the Mission's storage facilities in connection with the separation, repatriation and reassignment of personnel in the context of the closure and administrative liquidation of the Mission.
47 - يعزى الفرق إلى انخفاض الاحتياجات من الموارد الذي نجم عن عودة أبكر مما كان متوقعاً للمركبات إلى مرافق تخزين البعثة في ما يتصل بإنهاء خدمة الأفراد وإعادتهم إلى الوطن وإعادة انتدابهم في سياق إغلاق البعثة وتصفيتها الإدارية.

(a) To reduce the appropriation of $239,096,600 approved for the maintenance and administrative liquidation of the Mission for the period from 1 July 2010 to 30 June 2011 under the terms of General Assembly resolution 65/254 A by the amount of $2,844,300 to the amount of $236,252,300, equal to the expenditures incurred by the Mission during the period;
(أ) تخفيض الاعتماد البالغ 600 096 239 دولار المعتمد للإنفاق على البعثة وتصفيتها الإدارية للفترة من 1 تموز/يوليه 2010 إلى 30 حزيران/يونيه 2011 بموجب أحكام قرار الجمعية العامة 65/254 ألف بمبلغ مقداره 300 844 2 دولار، إلى مبلغ مقداره 300 252 236 دولار يعادل النفقات التي تكبدتها البعثة خلال هذه الفترة؛

5. The Advisory Committee further recalls that the General Assembly decided to reduce the appropriation of $482,460,550 for the maintenance of the Mission to $137,532,000 for the withdrawal and administrative liquidation of the Mission for the period from 1 July 2011 to 30 June 2012 (see General Assembly resolution 66/244, para. 5).

Following the elections and the forming of a Government, the Mission’s mandate had come to an end and the Secretary-General had submitted a new budget proposal containing revised estimates for the withdrawal and administrative liquidation of the Mission.

8 - يتمثل الهدف الأساسي لبعثة الأمم المتحدة في السودان في الفترة من 11 تموز/يوليه إلى 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011 في توفير الدعم اللوجستي والإداري والأمني الفعال والكفؤ لعملية سحب البعثة وتصفيتها إداريا بحلول 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011.

11. A public information team, comprising one Public Information Officer (P-5) serving as a spokesperson and two Public Information national staff, was retained to support the withdrawal and administrative liquidation of the Mission through conducting a general awareness campaign and resolving media management issues.
11 - وجرى تشكيل فريقٍ لشؤون الإعلام يتألف من موظف واحد لشؤون الإعلام (ف-5) يشغل وظيفة المتحدث الرسمي وموظفَيْن وطنيَين لشؤون الإعلام، وذلك دعما لعملية سحب البعثة وتصفيتها إداريا عن طريق الاضطلاع بحملة توعية عامة ومعالجة المسائل المتعلقة بإدارة وسائط الإعلام.

35. As indicated in the framework below, during the liquidation period from 11 July to 31 December 2011, the Mission provided support for the phased withdrawal and administrative liquidation of UNMIS through the delivery of related outputs.
35 - كما هو مبين في الإطار أدناه، خلال فترة التصفية الممتدة من 11 تموز/يوليه إلى 31 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2011، قدمت البعثة الدعم للانسحاب التدريجي والتصفية الإدارية للبعثة عن طريق إنجاز النواتج ذات الصلة.

The decrease of $8,029,100 is attributable mainly to the abolishment of all civilian staff positions; the repatriation of Government-provided personnel; and the reduction in operational costs as a result of the full drawdown of the mission, offset in part by the increase in resources required for the actual physical closure and administrative liquidation of the mission.
