Welcomes the efforts of African countries in the management and resolution of conflicts in the region, in particular their determination to establish a Peace and Security Council within the African Union, African mediation in a number of conflicts and the efforts of the African Union and African regional organizations to develop their capabilities for peace-support operations;
8 - ترحب بجهود البلدان الأفريقية في إدارة الصراعات في المنطقة وحلها، لا سيما تصميمها على إنشاء مجلس للسلام والأمن داخل الاتحاد الأفريقي، والوساطة الأفريقية في عدد من الصراعات، وجهود الاتحاد الأفريقي والمنظمات الإقليمية الأفريقية الرامية إلى تعزيز قدراتها على الاضطلاع بعمليات دعم السلام؛

The efforts of African countries in the management and resolution of conflicts in their own region and the establishment of a Peace and Security Council within the African Union are ground-breaking developments, as are the African mediation in a number of conflicts and the efforts of the African Union and African regional organizations to develop their capabilities for peace-supporting operations.
ونرى أن الجهود التي تبذلها البلدان الأفريقية في إدارة وحل الصراعات في المنطقة التي تنتمي إليها، وإنشاء مجلس السلام والأمن في إطار الاتحاد الأفريقي تطورات تطرق آفاقا جديدة، شأنها شأن الوساطة الأفريقية في عدد من الصراعات، وكذلك جهود الاتحاد الأفريقي والمنظمات الإقليمية الأفريقية لتطوير قدراتها في مجال عمليات دعم السلام.

(ب) إقامة علاقات تعاون أوثق بين الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الإقليمية الأفريقية في ميدان السلم والأمن على أثر الحلقة الدراسية المعنونة: " التعاون بين الأمم المتحدة والمنظمات الإقليمية الأفريقية في ميدان السلم والأمن " التي عقدت في نيويورك في 15 كانون الأول/ديسمبر 2005.

222. The view was expressed that, under subprogramme 6, the strategy should reflect the important role of the African Centre for Gender and Development in assisting the African Union and African regional organizations in the implementation of NEPAD, developing their respective gender policy frameworks and mainstreaming a gender perspective into their policies and programmes.

37 - السيد لا ييفان (الصين): رحب بالتوصيات التي قدمتها المقررة الخاصة في تقريرها الشفوي، ولا سيما فيما يتصل بالطرق التي يمكن بها للمنظمات الدولية والمنظمات الإقليمية الأفريقية أن تساند حكومة السودان فيما تبذله من جهود لزيادة قدراتها، ثم قال إنه يجب على المجتمع الدولي أن يعترف بالأعمال التي يتولاها السودان من أجل تهيئة المصالحة الوطنية وتحسين رفاه السكان.

That is why we call for greater cooperation in this sphere between the United Nations on the one hand and the OAU and African regional organizations on the other.
