وتهيب اللجنة بالدولة الطرف أن تضاعف جهودها الرامية إلى تصميم وتنفيذ برامج توعية شاملة لتحسين فهم المساواة بين المرأة والرجل على جميع مستويات المجتمع، وذلك بغرض تغيير المواقف النمطية والأعراف الثقافية السلبية بشأن المسؤوليات والأدوار المنوطة بالنساء والرجال في الأسرة والمجتمع، عملا بالمادة 5 (أ) من الاتفاقية.

كما توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف باتخاذ تدابير لتغيير المواقف النمطية والأعراف الثقافية السلبية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل وتشجيع التوافق بين مسؤوليات الأسرة والعمل بين الرجال والنساء، وتصميم وتنفيذ برامج للتوعية موجهة إلى جميع مستويات المجتمع.

Following UNCED, the rights and roles of women in sustainable development have been further emphasized in other global conferences, particularly the Fourth World Conference on Women and the International Conference on Population and Development, and the need to empower women in this regard has been recognized.
وفي أعقاب مؤتمر اﻷمم المتحدة المعني بالبيئة والتنمية، تم إيلاء مزيد من التركيز على حقوق وأدوار المرأة في التنمية المستدامة في المؤتمرات العالمية اﻷخرى، ولا سيما المؤتمر العالمي الرابع المعني بالمرأة والمؤتمر الدولي للسكان والتنمية ومع الاعتراف بضرورة تمكين المرأة في هذا المضمار.

The Committee urges the State party to increase its efforts to design and implement comprehensive awareness-raising programmes to foster a better understanding of equality between women and men at all levels of society with a view to changing stereotypical attitudes and negative cultural norms about the responsibilities and roles of women and men in the family and society.
167 - وتحث اللجنة الدولة الطرف علي زيادة جهودها لتخطيط وتنفيذ حملات شاملة لزيادة الوعي من أجل تعزيز فهم أفضل للمساواة بين المرأة والرجل في جميع مستويات المجتمع بغية تغيير الاتجاهات النمطية والمفاهيم الثقافية السلبية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل في الأسرة والمجتمع.

Governments should assess the needs and roles of women and men and the barriers they face and address them through policies that foster conditions that will transform their roles; they should ensure that women and girls can freely redefine the parameters of their roles, whether in agriculture, health, engineering, the household or policy.
وينبغي أن تعمل الحكومات على تقييم احتياجات وأدوار المرأة والرجل فضلاً عن الحواجز التي يواجهانها، وأن تتصدّى لهذه الأمور من خلال السياسات التي تهيئ الظروف الكفيلة بتحويل أدوارهما بما يكفل للنساء والفتيات الحرية في إعادة تعريف محدّدات الأدوار التي يقمن بها سواء في مجالات الزراعة أو الصحة أو الهندسة أو في نطاق الأسرة المعيشية أو على صعيد السياسة.

231. The Committee encourages the State party to strengthen its measures to change stereotypical attitudes about the responsibilities and roles of women and men in society, in order to promote the reconciliation of private and family life and work responsibilities between women and men, in accordance with articles 5 (a) and 11.1 (b) and (c) of the Convention.
231 - وتشجع اللجنة الدولة الطرف على تعزيز تدابيرها الرامية إلى تغيير المواقف النمطية عن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل في المجتمع لتشجيع التوفيق بين حياة الأسرة الخاصـة ومســؤوليات العمــل لــدى الرجــال والنساء، وفقا للفقرة (أ) من المادة 5 و 1- (ب) و (ج) من المادة 11 من الاتفاقية.

Such efforts should aim to modify stereotypical attitudes and cultural norms about the responsibilities and roles of women and men in the family, workplace, political life and society, as required under articles 2 (f) and 5 (a) of the Convention.
وينبغي أن تستهدف هذه الجهود تعديل المواقف المستندة إلى القوالب النمطية والأعراف الثقافية بشأن مسؤوليات وأدوار المرأة والرجل في الأسرة وفي مكان العمل وفي الحياة السياسية وفي المجتمع، كما تقتضي المواد 2 (و) و 5 (أ) من الاتفاقية.

كما توصي اللجنة الدولة الطرف ببذل المزيد من الجهود لتعزيز المساواة بين النساء والرجال على جميع مستويات المجتمع، بما في ذلك الجهود الرامية إلى القضاء على التصرفات النمطية والمعايير التقليدية إزاء مسؤوليات وأدوار النساء والرجال داخل الأسرة والمجتمع.

2. Conduct of gender analysis of the situation and roles of women and men in armed conflict and in the arms trade to ensure that the needs and concerns of both women and men combatants, their families and members of the community are considered in the development and implementation of strategies for a more effective disarmament, non-proliferation and arms control process.
