In this regard, Zambia supports the call for all States to refrain from promulgating and applying laws and measures referred to in the preamble of the resolution that hinder freedom of trade and navigation, and urges States that have and continue to apply such laws and measures to take the necessary steps to repeal or invalidate them as soon as possible in accordance with their legal regime.
وفي هذا الصدد، تؤيد زامبيا الدعوة إلى امتناع جميع الدول عن سن وتطبيق قوانين وتدابير من النوع المشار إليه في ديباجة القرار، التي تعيق حرية التجارة والملاحة، وتحث الدول التي طبقت وما زالت تطبق مثل هذه القوانين والتدابير على اتخاذ الخطوات اللازمة من أجل إلغائها أو إبطالها في أقرب وقت ممكن وفقا لنظامها القانوني.

The European Union believes that the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC) has an essential role in countering the threat of chemical weapons and urges States that are not parties to it adhere to that treaty.
