The application of this Convention covers internal trafficking and trafficking to foreign countries, including neighbouring islands.
ويشمل تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية الاتجار الداخلي والاتجار الموجه إلى البلدان الأجنبية بما في ذلك الجزر المجاورة.

Any act which is justified under the rules of international humanitarian law, shall not be covered by the scope of application of this Convention.
لا يشمل نطاق تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية أي عمل تجيزه قواعد القانون الإنساني الدولي.

l. States Parties shall endeavour to settle disputes concerning the interpretation or application of this Convention through negotiation.
1- تسعى الدول الأطراف إلى تسوية النـزاعات المتعلقة بتفسير أو تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية عن طريق التفاوض.

Notwithstanding article 6, this Convention applies as between the carrier and the consignee, controlling party or holder that is not an original party to the charter party or other contract of carriage excluded from the application of this Convention.
بصرف النظر عن أحكام المادة ٦، تنطبق هذه الاتفاقية فيما بين الناقل والمرسل إليه أو الطرف المسيطر أو الحائز الذي ليس طرفا أصيلا في مشارطة الاستئجار أو عقد نقل آخر مستبعد من نطاق انطباق هذه الاتفاقية.

Reservations 1. Any State may, at the time of signature, ratification, acceptance, approval, or accession, or at any time thereafter, reserve the right to exclude the application of this Convention to any or all of the following :
1- يجوز لأي دولة، عند توقيع الاتفاقية، أو التصديق عليها، أو قبولها، أو الموافقة عليها، أو الانضمام إليها، أو في أي وقت لاحق، أن تحتفظ بحق عدم تطبيق الاتفاقية على أي من الحالات التالية أو كلها:

However, the scope of application of this Convention is limited to acts committed by agents or representatives of a State.
بيد أن نطاق تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية لا يشمل إلا اﻷفعال التي يرتكبها الموظفون الرسميون أو ممثلو الحكومات.

1. Parties shall seek to settle any dispute between them concerning the interpretation or application of this Convention through negotiation or other peaceful means of their own choice.
1 - تسعى الأطراف إلى تسوية أي نزاع بينها يتعلق بتفسير أو تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية عن طريق التفاوض أو أي طرق سلمية أخرى تختارها بنفسها.

1 - تسعى الأطراف إلى تسوية أي منازعة بينها يتعلق بتفسير أو تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية عن طريق التفاوض أو أي طرق سلمية أخرى تختارها بنفسها.

There is no justification for excluding chartered ships from the application of this Convention, especially if they have been chartered from the carrier itself.
18- ليس مفهوما لماذا استثنيت السفن المستأجرة من نطاق تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية خاصة إذا كانت مستأجرة من الناقل نفسه.

Iraq also enters a reservation to article 29, paragraph 1, of this Convention with regard to the principle of international arbitration in connection with the interpretation or application of this Convention.
كما يبدي العراق تحفُّظاً على الفقرة 1 من المادة 29 من هذه الاتفاقية بشأن مبدأ التحكيم الدولي فيما يتعلق بتفسير أو تطبيق هذه الاتفاقية.

3. Neither the nationality of the parties nor the civil or commercial character of the parties or of the contract is to be taken into consideration in determining the application of this Convention.
3- لا يؤخذ في الاعتبار لدى تقرير انطباق هذه الاتفاقية لا جنسية الطرفين ولا الصفة المدنية أو التجارية للطرفين أو للعقد.
