In collaboration with the Arabic translation Service of the Department for General Assembly and Conference Management, the Arabic Website Unit of the Department of Public Information provided translation into Arabic.
وبالتعاون مع دائرة الترجمة العربية التابعة لإدارة شؤون الجمعية العامة والمؤتمرات، وفّرت وحدة النسخة العربية للموقع التابعة لإدارة شؤون الإعلام الترجمة إلى اللغة العربية.

To promote such universal adherence, ICRC had published a booklet containing the full amended text of the Convention and its protocols. The English, French and Spanish versions had already come out, the Russian version was now available and the Arabic translation would be appearing shortly.
وحرصاً منها على إضفاء هذه الصبغة العالمية، نشرت لجنة الصليب الأحمر الدولية كتيباً يتضمن النص الكامل المنقح للاتفاقية وبروتوكولاتها، وقد صدرت بالفعل النصوص باللغات الإنكليزية والفرنسية والإسبانية؛ وترجمة الكتيب باللغة الروسية متاح الآن فيما سيصدر في الأيام المقبلة نص الترجمة العربية.

I am confident that the English version is correct and the Arabic translation incorrect.
أعتقد وأثق بأن الترجمة اﻹنكليزية صحيحة ولكن الترجمة العربية خطأ إذ من المفروض أن تستبدل عبارة نزع السلاح بمفاوضات السلام.

An annual report should be submitted to the Committee on Conferences regarding progress made in that respect, and the measures taken to coordinate the terminological work of the Arabic translation Service with the delegations of the Arab countries.
وينبغي تقديم تقرير سنوي إلى لجنة المؤتمرات بشأن التقدم المحرز في هذا الشأن، والتدابير المتخذة لتنسيق أعمال المصطلحات في دائرة الترجمة العربية مع وفود البلدان العربية.

68. His delegation welcomed with satisfaction the measures taken to improve the quality of translations and hoped that the Arabic translation Service would spare no effort to implement Egypt's proposals to improve the standard of Arabic in the United Nations.

23. Mr. Mubarez (Yemen) drew attention to an error in the Arabic translation of the title of draft resolution A/C.3/58/L.49. The draft was concerned with massive exoduses, not with migrations, which were an entirely different matter.

The CHAIRPERSON said that, while the list of issues had been issued in English, French and Spanish (the working languages of the Committee) in the first instance, the Arabic translation had been available as a public document since May 2005.
