4. To this end, the Executive Secretary of the UNCCD and the Managing Director of the GM established jointly a task force (TF) as a mechanism for consultation and information sharing, to facilitate team building between the secretariat and the GM and to guide the elaboration of the JWP.

28- ومن أجل إبلاغ الآلية العالمية بالأدوات المالية التي تستخدمها الأمانة و/أو مكتب الأمم المتحدة في جنيف، عُقِد اجتماع بين الأمانة والآلية العالمية في بون يومي 17 و18 شباط/فبراير 2012 على هامش اجتماعات مكتب لجنة العلم والتكنولوجيا ومكتب لجنة استعراض تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

The draft 2010 - 2011 JWP between the secretariat and the GM was presented to Parties at COP 9 and included in the report of COP 9 as an annex to decision 1/COP.9, with a remark that the content of the JWP had not been subject to negotiation.
3- عُرض مشروع برنامج العمل المشترك بين الأمانة والآلية العالمية للفترة 2010-2011 على الأطراف في الدورة التاسعة لمؤتمر الأطراف وأُدرج ضمن تقرير المؤتمر عن تلك الدورة كمرفق للمقرر 1/م أ-9، مع إيراد ملاحظة مفادها أن برنامج العمل المشترك لم تجر بشأنه مفاوضات.

52. Examples of overlapping, duplication and lack of coordination between the GM and the Secretariat as made evident from the study of numerous documents presented to the COP, including independent evaluations and correspondence between the secretariat and the GM.
52- تشمل الأمثلة على الازدواجية والتداخل وعدم التنسيق بين الآلية العالمية والأمانة، كما يتضح من دراسة العديد من الوثائق المقدمة إلى مؤتمر الأطراف، عمليات التقييم المستقلة والمراسلات بين الأمانة والآلية العالمية.

Better services to countries in all regions without cost increase, most notably through increased coordination between the secretariat and the GM at the regional and country levels to generate synergies and increase resource mobilization for DLDD and the implementation of The Strategy;

Concerning coordination, an attempt to define a joint work programme (JWP) is underway, as mandated by The Strategy, but is still far from effectively building upon the unique potential for cooperation and coordination that certainly exists between the secretariat and the GM.
36- وفيما يتعلق بمسألة التنسيق، ثمة محاولة جارية لتحديد برنامج عمل مشترك، عملاً بما نصت عليه الاستراتيجية، لكن ذلك يظل بعيداً عن الاستغلال الفعال لكل ما هو متاح بكل تأكيد من إمكانات فريدة للتعاون والتنسيق بين الأمانة والآلية العالمية.

47. The cost of the GM's operating expenses in Rome is also likely to rise as a result of measures introduced in decision 6/COP.10 to improve coordination and governance of the Convention bodies which require intensified travel and communication between the secretariat and the GM.
من المُرجّح أيضًا أن ترتفع تكلفة نفقات التشغيل للآلية العالمية في روما نتيجة للتدابير التي أُدخلّت على المُقرّر 6/م أ -١٠ لتحسين سُبُل تنسيق هيئات الاتفاقية وإدارتها والذي يتطلب تكثيف السفر والتواصُل بين الأمانة العامة والآلية العالمية.
