In keeping with the undertakings that the State of Qatar gave to prohibit the employment of children as camel jockeys, the legislature passed Act No. 22 of 2005 prohibiting the employment, training and participation of children in camel racing. Robots were introduced instead. 295. The State took measures to repatriate such children, paying their travel costs and offering them compensation.
294- وفي إطار تنفيذ دولة قطر لالتزاماتها بشأن حظر استخدام الأطفال كركابة هجن، فقد أصدر المشرع القطري القانون رقم 22 لعام 2005 بحظر تشغيل وتدريب وإشراك الأطفال في سباق الهجن حيث تم استبدال الأطفال بالرجل الآلي " الروبوت " .

The Government has also worked with UNICEF, source country embassies and non-governmental organizations to identify, rescue, rehabilitate and repatriate children who have worked as camel jockeys.
