322. This equality is established by the Kuwaiti Constitution and laws in force. There is no discrimination in the application of the law. Article 134 of the Constitution provides for equality in the matter of general taxes. The article states that " no one may be exempted, wholly or partially, from the duty to pay [public] taxes except in the cases specified by law " .
322- وهي مكفولة بموجب الدستور والقوانين الكويتية السارية، فلا تمييز بين الناس في تطبيق القانون عليهم، فقد قررت المادة 134 من الدستور مبدأ المساواة أمام الضرائب العامة حين نصت على أنه لا يعفى أحد من أداء الضرائب العامة كلها أو بعضها في غير الأحوال المبينة بالقانون.

Moreover, article 2 of the Law of Criminal Procedure states that " no person shall be arrested, searched, detained or imprisoned except in cases specified by the law " .
علاوةً على ذلك، تنصّ المادة 2 من نظام الإجراءات الجزائية على ما يلي: " لا يجوز القبض على أي إنسان، أو تفتيشه، أو توقيفه، أو سجنه إلا في الأحوال المنصوص عليها نظاماً " .
