It is recalled that charts or lists of geographical coordinates of points concerning straight or archipelagic baselines as well as the outer limits of their maritime zones are deposited under article 16, paragraph 2, article 47, paragraph 9, article 75, paragraph 2, and article 84, paragraph 2, of the Convention.
ومن الجدير بالذكر أن إيداع الخرائط أو نقاط الإحداثيات الجغرافية المتعلقة بخطوط الأساس المستقيمة أو الأرخبيلية، وكذلك الحدود الخارجية للمناطق البحرية، يتم في إطار الفقرة 2 من المادة 16، والفقرة 9 من المادة 47، والفقرة 2 من المادة 75، والفقرة 2 من المادة 84 من الاتفاقية.

However, many coastal States have yet to deposit charts or lists of geographical coordinates with the Secretary-General.
بيد أن العديد من الدول الساحلية لم يودع حتى الآن الخرائط أو قوائم الإحداثيات الجغرافية لدى الأمين العام.

The Secretary-General takes the opportunity to urge once again all coastal States to deposit such charts or lists of coordinates as soon as possible after the establishment of the outer limit lines of their continental shelf in accordance with the relevant provisions of the Convention.

The mere existence or adoption of legislation or the conclusion of a maritime boundary delimitation treaty registered with the Secretariat, even if they contain charts or lists of coordinates, cannot be interpreted as an act of deposit with the Secretary-General under the Convention.
فمجرد وجود أو اعتماد تشريع أو إبرام معاهدة لترسيم الحدود البحرية مسجلة لدى الأمانة العامة، وإن كانت تتضمن خرائط أو قوائم إحداثيات، لا يمكن تفسيره كوثيقة إيداع لدى الأمين العام بموجب الاتفاقية.

For this reason, pursuant to article 84, paragraph 2, of the Convention, coastal States are obliged to give due publicity to charts or lists of geographical coordinates of points and, in the case of those indicating the outer limit lines of the continental shelf, to deposit a copy of such charts or lists with the Secretary-General of the Authority.
ولهذا السبب، فإن الدول الساحلية ملزمة بموجب الفقرة 2 من المادة 84 من الاتفاقية بالإعلان على النحو الواجب عن الخرائط أو قوائم الإحداثيات الجغرافية للنقاط، وفي الحالات التي تشير فيها النقاط إلى خطوط الحد الخارجي للجرف القاري، أن تقوم بإيداع نسخة من هذه الخرائط أو القوائم لدى الأمين العام للسلطة.

For this reason, article 84, paragraph 2, of the Convention requires coastal States to give due publicity to charts or lists of geographical coordinates of the outer limit lines of the continental shelf and, in the case of those extending beyond 200 nautical miles, to deposit a copy of such charts or lists with the Secretary-General of the Authority.
ولهذا السبب، فإن الفقرة 2 من المادة 84 من الاتفاقية تتطلب من الدول الساحلية الإعلان الواجب عن الخرائط أو قوائم الإحداثيات الجغرافية لخطوط الحد الخارجي للجرف القاري والقيام، في حالة خطوط الحد الخارجي التي تقع خارج حدود الـ 200 ميل بحري، بإيداع نسخة من كل خريطة أو قائمة منها لدى الأمين العام للسلطة.

6. Calls upon States parties to the Convention to deposit with the Secretary-General charts or lists of geographical coordinates, as provided for in the Convention;

Under the Convention, the coastal State has an obligation to deposit with the Secretary-General of the United Nations charts or lists of geographical coordinates establishing the position of the baselines for measuring the breadth of the territorial sea and of the limits derived therefrom, including the outer limit lines of the 200-nautical-mile exclusive economic zone.
وتنص الاتفاقية على أن تودع الدولة الساحلية لدى اﻷمين العام لﻷمم المتحدة خرائط أو قوائم اﻹحداثيات الجغرافية التي تحدد موقع خطوط اﻷساس لقياس عرض البحر اﻹقليمي والحدود المستمدة من ذلك، بما في ذلك خطوط الحدود الخارجية للمنطقة الاقتصادية الخالصة البالغة ٢٠٠ ميل بحري.

3. The United Nations and the Authority shall cooperate in obtaining from States Parties to the Convention copies of charts or lists of geographical coordinates of the outer limit lines of their continental shelf as referred to in article 84 of the Convention.
٣ - تتعاون اﻷمـم المتحـدة والسلطـة علـى الحصـول مـن الدول اﻷطراف على نسخ من خرائط وقوائم اﻹحداثيات الجغرافية المبينة للخطوط الخارجية للجرف القاري، على النحو المشار إليه في المادة ٤٨ من الاتفاقية.

In this regard, the report I mentioned earlier refers to the deposit with the Secretary-General of nautical charts or lists of geographical coordinates by coastal States, as well as the obligation to provide for their due publicity.
وفي هذا الصدد يشير التقرير اﻵنف الذكر إلى إيداع الخرائط وقوائم الاحداثيات الجغرافية لدى اﻷمين العام فضلا عن واجب تحمل نفقات اﻹعلان الواجب عنها.
