Information with regard to the settlement of claims for death and disability is provided in paragraphs 211 to 214 of the overview report, including efforts to comply with paragraph 34 of General Assembly resolution 65/289, in which the Assembly requested the Secretary-General to take measures to eliminate the existing backlog of death and disability claims pending for more than three months.
