Duch was sentenced to 35 years' imprisonment for war crimes and crimes against humanity committed at S-21, a security prison located in the heart of Phnom Penh.
وحكم على دوتش بالسجن 35 عاماً لارتكابه جرائم حرب وجرائم ضد الإنسانية في سجن S-21، وهو سجن أمني يقع في قلب بنوم بنه.

Duch was convicted and sentenced to 35 years' imprisonment by the Trial Chamber.

5. On 8 August 2008, the co-investigating judges issued a closing order in which they indicted Duch for crimes against humanity and grave breaches of the Geneva Conventions of 1949.

In accordance with the Internal Rules, the co-prosecutors requested the enforcement of the remainder of Duch's sentence and that he should remain in the detention facility of the Chambers during the period that he was required to testify in case 002.

87. Of great interest is the decision by the Pre-Trial Chamber on the legality of the detention order issued by co-investigating judges against Kaing Guek Eav, alias Duch.
87- من المهم الإشارة إلى القرار الذي اتخذته الدائرة التمهيدية بشأن شرعية أمر احتجاز صادر عن القضاة المشتركين في التحقيق ضد كينغ غوك إيف، المدعو داش.

Following the landmark conviction of Kaing Guek Eav, alias " Duch " , in July 2010, the Court has advanced its second case against Nuon Chea, Ieng Sary, Ieng Thirith and Khieu Samphan (Case 002).
