28 - إن إلغاء دور الأسلحة النووية في السياسات الأمنية من شأنه أن يكون إحدى الخطوات الأولى المفضية إلى تيسير عملية إزالة هذه الأسلحة.

This would be the first step towards the ultimate elimination of these weapons.
وهذه ستكون الخطوة اﻷولى صوب القضاء على هذه اﻷسلحة في نهاية المطاف.

These two processes would thus converge and create the impetus that would stop and reverse the nuclear arms race in all its forms, to bring about the total, irreversible, transparent and verifiable elimination of these weapons.
