8.5 As to the claim of a violation of article 25 (b), due to the prohibition on the author from voting or from being elected for seven years after his release from prison, the Committee recalls that the exercise of the right to vote and to be elected may not be suspended or excluded except on grounds, established by law, which are objective and reasonable.
8-5 وفيما يتعلق بالادعاء المتعلق بانتهاك المادة 25(ب)، بسبب حرمان صاحب البلاغ من التصويت أو من الترشح لانتخابات لمدة سبع سنوات بعد إطلاق سراحه من السجن، تلاحظ اللجنة أنه لا يجوز تعليق أو استبعاد ممارسة حق التصويت أو الترشح للانتخابات إلا لأسباب موضوعية ومعقولة منصوص عليها في القانون.

25. Revised principle 7 (a) adds the phrase " except on grounds of incapacity or behaviour rendering them unfit to discharge their duties and pursuant to procedures ensuring fair, impartial and independent determinations " after the text, derived from principle 6 (b), assuring the irremovability of commission members during their terms of office.
25- ويضيف المبدأ 7(أ) المنقح العبارة التالية: " إلا بالاستناد إلى عدم أهليتهم أو بسبب سلوكهم الذي يجعلهم غير لائقين للاضطلاع بمهامهم ووفقاً لإجراءات تكفل اتخاذ قرارات على أساس عادل وغير متحيز ومستقل " ، بعد النص المستمد من المبدأ 6(ب) الذي يؤكد على عدم جواز عزل أعضاء اللجنة خلال فترة ولايتهم.
