32. By this resolution, the Conference of Ministers of ECA took note with satisfaction of the recommendations of the Women Leadership Forum on Peace held at Johannesburg in November 1996 at the initiative of the Economic Commission for Africa and the Organization of African Unity.

Lesotho remained an active participant in the population activities of the United Nations system; in particular, it frequently consulted the UNFPA country office in Maseru and was represented at regional and subregional meetings organized by the Southern African Development Community, the Economic Commission for Africa and the Organization of African Unity.
٩٣ - وأكدت أن ليسوتو لا تزال مشاركا فعالا في اﻷنشطة السكانية التي تضطلع بها منظومة اﻷمم المتحدة؛ وتشاورت من حين ﻵخر على وجه الخصوص مع المكتب القطري لصندوق اﻷمم المتحدة للسكان في ماسيرو ومُثﱢلت في الاجتماعات اﻹقليمية واﻷقاليمية التي عقدتها الجماعة اﻹنمائية للجنوب اﻹفريقي واللجنة الاقتصادية ﻷفريقيا ومنظمة الوحدة اﻷفريقية.

It was against the background of the precarious state of African industry that the Director-General, in collaboration with the Economic Commission for Africa and the Organization of African Unity, had organized the Conference on Industrial Partnership and Investment in Africa, to be held in Dakar in October 1999 under the leadership of the African Development Bank and in cooperation with the World Bank.
