In operative paragraph 2 of its decision 10/_, taken at its resumed tenth session, the Intergovernmental Negotiating Committee for Desertification (INCD) accordingly requested the secretariat to develop proposals on the administrative and operational modalities of the Global Mechanism (GM) for consideration and adoption by the COP at its first session.

64- الإجراء: قد تود الهيئة الفرعية أن تحيط علماً بالمعلومات الواردة في الوثائق المذكورة أعلاه كي توفر المزيد من الإرشادات للأمانة بخصوص العمل المتعلق بهذه المسألة في المستقبل، بحسب الاقتضاء، كي توصي بمقرر لينظر فيه مؤتمر الأطراف ويعتمده في دورته الثامنة.

The SBSTA is also expected to elaborate conclusions on matters referred to in paragraphs and above, and a possible draft decision for consideration and adoption by the COP at its eight session.
