Replenishment of the GEF Trust Fund will also enable the GEF to continue assisting donor countries in their efforts to contribute to the protection and management of the global environment, consistent with the Millennium Development Goal of ensuring environmental sustainability and with the Program of Implementation approved by the WSSD in 2002.
