وقررت اللجنة أيضا، بالتزكية، أن توصي الجمعية العامة بإقرار إعادة تعيين السيد إيفان بيكتت (سويسرا) بصفته عضوا خاصا في لجنة الاستثمارات لمدة سنة واحدة ابتداء من 1 كانون الثاني/يناير 2008.

The Committee further decided, by acclamation, to recommend that the General Assembly confirm the reappointment of Mr. Gumersindo Oliveros (Spain) as an ad-hoc member of the Investments Committee for a one-year term of office beginning on 1 January 2014.

٥ - توصي اللجنة الخامسة بأن تقر الجمعية العامة تعيين اﻷمين العام لﻷشخاص التالية أسماؤهم أعضاء في لجنة الاستثمارات لفترة عضوية مدتها ثلاث سنوات تبدأ في ١ كانون الثاني/يناير ١٩٩٩:

For the reasons stated in the present report, the Secretary-General recommends that the General Assembly confirm the new funding mechanism it provisionally adopted in resolution 50/221 B.

4. For the reasons advanced in paragraphs 19 to 22 below, the Secretary-General recommends that the General Assembly confirm the new funding mechanism for the support account which it provisionally approved in resolution 50/221 B.
٤ - ويوصي اﻷمين العام، لﻷسباب المبداة في الفقرات من ١٩ الى ٢٢ أدناه، بأن تقر الجمعية العامة آلية التمويل الجديدة لحساب الدعم التي تمت الموافقة عليها بصورة مؤقتة في القرار ٥٠/٢٢١ باء.

The Committee also decided, by acclamation, to recommend that the General Assembly confirm the appointment by the Secretary-General of Mr. Fernando G. Chico Pardo (Mexico) to fill the remainder of a three-year term expiring on 31 December 1997.

31. Finally, it is proposed that the General Assembly confirm the understanding that meetings of the Conference of the Parties and its subsidiary bodies will be subject to the same provisions governing the utilization of conference services that apply to United Nations bodies and their secretariats.
١٣ - وفي الختام، يقترح أن تؤكد الجمعية العامة الفهم بأن اجتماعات مؤتمر اﻷطراف وهيئاته الفرعية ستخضع لنفس اﻷحكام التي تنظم الاستفادة من خدمات المؤتمرات التي تنطبق على هيئات اﻷمم المتحدة وأماناتها.
