Furthermore, in decision SC-5/21, it requested the Secretariat to develop a methodology for evaluating the regional centres based on the criteria set out in annex II to decision SC-2/9, which should include a quantitative analysis to be used in the evaluation of the performance and sustainability of each centre to be undertaken every four years.

The SBSTA considered views on methodological guidance for activities relating to reducing emissions from deforestation and forest degradation and the role of conservation, sustainable management of forests and enhancement of forest carbon stocks in developing countries, taking into account issues identified in appendix II to decision 1/CP.16 and relevant issues.
