Reiterates its request to the Joint Inspection Unit to conduct a comprehensive survey of the role publications play in implementing mandates of intergovernmental bodies and the extent to which recurrent publications could be made more cost-effective in this regard, and to submit a report on this matter no later than the end of the fifty-first session.
١٤ - تكرر طلبها إلى وحدة التفتيش المشتركة أن تجري دراسة استقصائية شاملة عن الدور الذي تؤديه المنشورات في تنفيذ ولايات الهيئات الحكومية الدولية وعن مدى إمكان جعل المنشورات المتكررة أكثر فعالية من حيث التكلفة في هذا الصدد، وأن تقدم تقريرا عن هذه المسألة في موعد لا يتجاوز نهاية الدورة الحادية والخمسين.

It was stressed that the work of the United Nations, and its success in implementing mandates, could be derived through a more qualitative analysis of programme performance only.1 The Committee concluded that in future performance reports, more emphasis should be placed on qualitative analysis to reflect achievements in implementing programme activities.2
