During a day of general discussions on migrant workers in an irregular situation and members of their families, held during its fifteenth session (1223 September 2011), the Committee on the Protection of the Rights of All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families highlighted that, in some States members of the European Union, migrant women victims of violence in an irregular situation risked expulsion when reporting to the police.
