The General Assembly had adopted resolutions on the situation of human rights in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea driven by a shared concern about the grave, widespread and systematic human rights abuses documented in the reports of the Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the country, as well as in the reports of the Secretary-General.
