1. Gathering information on the implementation of the Convention

In its resolution 1/2, the Conference decided that, prior to its second session, a self-assessment checklist should be used to facilitate the gathering of information on the implementation of the Convention.
7- وقرّر المؤتمر في قراره 1/2 أن تُستعمل، قبل انعقاد دورته الثانية، قائمة مرجعية للتقييم الذاتي من أجل تيسير جمع المعلومات عن تنفيذ الاتفاقية.

In considering its programme of work, the Conference may wish to take into consideration the issue of means of collecting information on the implementation of the Convention and the Protocols and the continuing difficulties apparently encountered by States in providing such information, which has resulted in persisting underreporting.
ولعل المؤتمر يود، عند النظر في برنامج عمله، أن يضع في اعتباره مسألة وسائل جمع المعلومات عن تنفيذ الاتفاقية والبروتوكولات والصعوبات المستمرة التي يبدو أن الدول تواجهها في توفير هذه المعلومات والتي أدت إلى استمرار النقص في الإبلاغ.

69- وترحب اللجنة بحضور ممثل عن مركز تكافؤ الفرص والعمل على مكافحة العنصرية في الوفد وبمشاركة هذا الممثل مشاركة نشطة في بحث وتقديم المعلومات عن تنفيذ الاتفاقية في الدولة الطرف.

While noting that the same legal regime applies to the whole territory of the State party, the Committee notes that there is no information on the implementation of the Convention in overseas departments and territories.
